Flying HIllbillies RC Club - Winfield, WV - Project Wounded Warrior Fly In

Flying HIllbillies RC Club  - Winfield, WV - Announces >>>>>> Project Wounded Warrior Fly In
Please forward to your club members.

On Saturday, October 6th, 2012, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the Flying Hillbillies RC Club is hosting a Radio Control Air-Show to directly benefit the Wounded Warrior Projectwww.woundedwarriorproject.org.

Please take this opportunity to attend this worthy cause.  We are hoping you can join us and also consider this event a Flying Hillbillies picnic and gathering of club members and friends.

Everyone invited.  There will be food, (hamburgers and hotdogs), a raffle prize of a new Great Planes Real Flight Simulator, and of couse a 50/50 drawing.
So bring the parents, bring the kids, bring your friends, and most important, bring your airplanes.  Instructors will be on hand to "buddy box" anyone wanting to try flying radio control airplanes.

The Flying Hillbillies RC Club is taking on this initiative to raise financial support and awareness - to benefit our Veteran Heroes who have made the enormous sacrifices and to honor the service of these individuals over a two-month campaign leading to Veterans Day.

The Wounded Warrior Project is a national effort to benefit our Veterans who have sacrificed in service of our country.  Many of our Veterans are returning home with service connected injuries or illness.  Some of the extraordinary obstacles they face includes physical injuries, disability, and invisible injuries like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury. (TBI)

The mission of Wounded Warrior is broad, yet simple.
  • To raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members.
  • To help injured service members aid and assist each other
  • To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.

What Happens When The Radio Quits

Since I have not received any new material, here's a short video clip from my electric foamie glider. When the radio quits, things go bad very quickly.
